Can Miquelet - Ibiza, Spain
In classical Roman religion, places were known to have a protective spirit. In contemporary architecture, we call this spirit “genius loci”, the historical-cultural-artistic identity of a site and its landscape, so vital to the process of placemaking and belonging.

Project location
There is an element that we find all over Ibiza that sometimes forms part of and shapes the architecture, at other times it forms and divides the territory, the walls. In San Miquelet's house, the walls hold us "genius loci" and on the other hand, the need to build in a non-intervention way we use a wooden structure that molds itself to the territory
